Is The Shawshank Redemption originally a book.

I remember it was a book written by Stephen King. If it is, how many pages are there in the book and what’s the lexile for it?

The Shawshank Redemption is a novella in the Stephen King collection Different Seasons. The lexile is 890. Different Seasons is 500 pages, but I’m not sure exactly how long Shawshank is. Probably a couple hundred pages.

How many books are in Stephen Kings Dark Tower series.

Is it worth reading them all? Im a big fan of his, just not a big fan of serial novels.

There are 7 books in the main series. They are:1. The Gunslinger2. The Drawing of the Three3. The Wastelands4. Wizards and Glass5. The Wolves of the Calla6. Susanna’s Song7. The Dark TowerThere are several books that have ties to the Dark Tower Series. They are:1. The Stand2. It3. The Regulators4. Desperation5. Insomnia6. The Eyes of the Dragon7. ‘Salem’s LotHope this helps you. I enjoyed the books. You do need to read them all, he refers back to things that happened in previous books. The 2nd set just gives you a bit of backround on some of the charaters, and explains some interesting things.

Stephen King fans out there.

How many of you are Stephen King fans and what books of his have you read? I’ve read Desperation, The Shining, Rose Madder. That’s all the ones I can recall reading.

I love Stephen King!I haven’t read all his books yet, but my favorite is The Dead Zone, but The Green Mile and IT are good too.A friend recommended The Stand — said it was epic. I’ll have to read that one next. For the record, Stephen King did trash Meyer’s work, but said he liked J.K. Rowling’s books, saying Rowling was a good writer. In his book On Writing, he includes a list of books he has read and enjoyed and Rowling’s books are listed.

How many of Stephen King’s books have been made into movies.

How many movies or made for TV movies did Stephen King write?

There are literally dozens and dozens of movies based on Stephen Kings novels, short stories and novellas. If you include sequels and TV movies, the list goes well over 50, (and that doesn’t include many limited release films.)

  3. Actually, there are four. Would be five is Meyer didn’t throw a complete hissy fit at some of the chapters of Midnight Sun getting leaked.

  4. Definatly I’m a fan of Stephen King I’ve just recently made a blog based on him

  5. there’s a fourth one, breaking dawn

  6. RE:They are by Stephanie Meyer. and there are 4. Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn.

  12. How many books did Stephen King publish or write?Ranked for great 10. Rose Red nine. Pet Semetary eight. The Dark Half 7. Hearts in Atlantis (If you do not permit the diversities among the guide and the film frustrate you, and simply benefit from the film.) 6. The Dead Zone five. Misery four. The Green Mile three. Dolores Clairborne two. Stand By Me a million. The Shawshank Redemption Ranked for amusement, now not always great. 10. The Running Man nine. Stand By Me eight. Silver Bullet 7. The Shining (mini) 6. 13. Twilight new mooon, eclipse and breaking dawn are by stephanie meyer.I laughed my bum off. STEPHEN KING!?I’ve read all of his books except for his newest ones from the last few years. My favorites are The Tommyknockers, The Stand and It. Needful Things is quite good as well. Most of his books are great, but those are my favorites.

  14. There are 7 books. For me, the best books were the middle with the 1st and 7th books being disappointments. If you’re a big fan of his you’ll probably enjoy it enough to make it worth reading. You can think of 1,2,3,5,6,7 as making up just one REALLY long novel (they flow together pretty well) as opposed to books in a series. The fourth one veers off course a lot.

  15. New Moon

  16. I’m doing a report on Stephen King and would like to know how many books he published or have written throughout his life time. T.I.A

  17. Stephanie Meyer wrote the Twilight Saga in this order:Trust me. If you are an intelligent being, you will give up after the first chapter.

  21. This Site Might Help You.Breaking Dawn

  22. Breaking DawnI’ve read pretty much anything that pertains to The Dark Tower series, which is the majority of his work. Especially It and The Stand. I have a real love-hate relationship with King, though. I think he’s a great storyteller, and great writer but his style can be a little over the top.

  23. Interesting question!

  24. 3 The magician and the CrystalSeven booksTwilight is by Stephenie Meyer, and there are 4 books.

  25. Look here:DO NOT READ THEM.

  26. The Shiningand Midnight Sun

  27. Miserystephen king and stephanie meyer are total opposites. he hates her writing

  28. TwilightStephen King hasn’t written ANY Twilight novels. The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle is a timeless character. You can read these stories again and again without getting tired of them. Sherlock Holmes and Watson are two fascinating people. Against a backdrop of Victorian England, these stories are fascinating. Sometimes one can deduce the crime and sometimes not. It does not matter. Watching Holmes at work is a privilege. I highly recommend this book and all Sherlock Holmes books.

  29. Firstly, they suck. Don’t waste your time or money on them. Secondly, I think you’re referring to the Twilight SERIES (not saga) by Stephenie Meyer (who is a whore), unless Stephen King wrote something called Twilight or you’ve gotten the name wrong.

  30. Not counting sequels there are 35 movies and 18 TV movies or miniseries based on King short stories or books.

  31. If you go to this site it will show you a list of all the books he wrote. Both published and unpublished. And if you click on the link you can see all of the short stories he wrote too.I believe there are 7 and they are one of my favorite King stories.

  32. As you can tell, you shouldn’t get the two authors confused.

  43. He would not be able to write such a pityful story unless Bella were eaten alive and tortured by her own lover…he has no bloody mercy.

  44. None. Stephen King’s books are actually well-written – and given his comments on Twilight I think he would probably be either amused or insulted by your question.Pet Sematary

  45. Breaking Dawn

  46. Your first question was answered, but for the second: yes. His son did (collaborating with a colleague of Arthur Conan Doyle), as well as many others. In the past year, there was a collection of short stories about Sherlock, as well as a graphic novel adaption series. So, yes…very many. 🙂
